July 1, 2008 was the first day of Summer Camp ‘08. On the very same day the Ugandan Government officially launched its plan for rebuilding northern Uganda after more than two decades of war. By clicking on the link below and signing the petition you can ensure that our leaders invest in a peaceful future for northern Uganda and work to implement these plans.
Through our partners at Resolve Uganda, add your name to the growing list of global citizens who are contributing to a better future for the children of northern Uganda.

Lara and Andrea,
I was deeply moved by your commitment towards the Acholi people and the future of their children, because I lived and worked in Gulu, Amuru and Opit from 1974 to 1977.
I am with you. Let us hope for the best, peace, security and an open future for all of them.
Thanks for reminding all of us of the unfair difficulties the Acholi are living for day to day, for so many years.
Take care,
Suzanne

I work for a company that sells technology. A group of employees have created an initiative to bridge the “digital divide”: http://www.softchoice.com/about/sustain-enable/#cares. We are travelling to Uganda next week. Your story is courageous and inspiring and one of many that I have read about while preparing for my trip. I hope that your commitment creates more awareness into the situation in northern Uganda and IDP’s worldwide. My heart and best wishes go out to you!
